These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Pollensa website and your participation in any reading programme or workshop offered by Pollensa. By submitting an enquiry, completing an enrolment, or attending a programme session, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, please contact us before enrolling.
1. About Pollensa
Who we are
Pollensa is an independent reading programme provider operating in Singapore. We design and facilitate reading-led educational workshops on topics related to household financial vocabulary and retirement-stage planning considerations. We are not a financial advisory firm, and nothing in any programme, material, or communication constitutes financial advice, regulated advice, or a recommendation to take any particular course of action.
Our principal office is located at 71 Robinson Road, #14-01, Singapore 068895. You may contact us by telephone at +65 6573 2840 or by email at [email protected].
2. Nature of Programmes
Educational scope and limitations
All Pollensa programmes are educational in nature. They are designed to help participants understand vocabulary, concepts, and publicly available information relevant to household financial decision-making. Programme content is reading-led and discussion-based.
Pollensa does not hold a licence under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) or the Securities and Futures Act (Cap. 289) of Singapore. No programme session, written material, facilitator comment, peer discussion, or workbook exercise constitutes:
- Financial advice or regulated financial advice of any kind
- An endorsement of any financial product, scheme, or institution
- A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument
- Tax advice, legal advice, or estate planning advice
Participants are encouraged to consult appropriately licensed professionals for advice specific to their personal circumstances.
3. Eligibility
Programme eligibility requirements
Pollensa programmes are designed for adults aged 40 and above resident in or visiting Singapore. Specific age ranges apply to individual programmes as follows:
| Programme | Age Range | Cohort Size |
|---|---|---|
| Retirement Geography Reading Workshop | 50–65 | 8–12 |
| Late-Career Income Reading Programme | 50–60 | 12 |
| Household Vocabulary Reading Circle | 40+ | Up to 12 |
Enrolment is subject to cohort availability. Pollensa reserves the right to decline an enrolment where eligibility requirements are not met.
4. Enrolment and Confirmation
How enrolment works
Enrolment is initiated by completing the enquiry form on our website or by contacting us directly by telephone or email. Submission of an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed enrolment. A place in a cohort is confirmed only when:
- You have received written confirmation of enrolment from Pollensa
- Full programme fees have been received by Pollensa
Pollensa will acknowledge enquiries within two business days. If a requested cohort is full, we will advise you of the next available date.
5. Fees and Payment
Programme fees
Programme fees are as follows, inclusive of all materials stated in the programme description:
| Programme | Fee (SGD) |
|---|---|
| Retirement Geography Reading Workshop | S$870 |
| Late-Career Income Reading Programme | S$240 |
| Household Vocabulary Reading Circle | S$160 |
All fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) where relevant. Payment is due in full prior to the commencement of the programme. We accept payment by bank transfer and card through our designated payment portal. Fees may be revised for future cohorts; any revision will be communicated before enrolment confirmation.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Withdrawals and fee refunds
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 14 days before programme start: Full refund of fees paid, less a S$25 administrative processing fee.
- 7 to 14 days before programme start: 50% refund of fees paid.
- Less than 7 days before programme start: No refund. Participants may transfer their place to another individual, subject to eligibility requirements and written notice to Pollensa.
- No-show or non-attendance: No refund.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to [email protected]. The date of receipt of the written cancellation is used to determine applicable refund entitlement.
If Pollensa cancels or postpones a programme due to circumstances within its control, enrolled participants will receive either a full refund or a transfer to the next available cohort, at the participant's preference. If a programme is postponed due to circumstances outside Pollensa's reasonable control (see Clause 12), Pollensa will offer a cohort transfer or, at its discretion, a partial refund.
7. Participant Responsibilities
What we ask of participants
To support the quality of each cohort's reading experience, participants agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and for the full scheduled duration where possible
- Complete assigned readings before each session
- Engage with peers in a respectful manner during group discussions
- Refrain from recording sessions, distributing programme materials, or reproducing workbook content without prior written consent from Pollensa
- Inform Pollensa in advance if they are unable to attend a session
Pollensa reserves the right to withdraw a participant from a programme if their conduct materially disrupts other participants. In such cases, no fee refund will be issued.
8. Intellectual Property
Ownership of programme materials
All reading materials, workbooks, glossaries, reflection cards, weekly summaries, and other programme resources produced by Pollensa are the intellectual property of Pollensa. Participants are licensed to use these materials for their own personal educational purposes only.
Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, or used for any commercial purpose without the prior written consent of Pollensa. This restriction applies to physical and digital copies alike.
9. Photographs and Programme Records
Photography and recording
Pollensa does not photograph, video-record, or audio-record sessions without the prior written consent of all participants. Where photographs are taken for legitimate programme records with consent, they will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Participants are asked not to photograph, record, or broadcast other participants or facilitators during sessions without the express consent of those individuals.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability to you
Pollensa's programmes are educational in nature. Pollensa does not accept liability for any financial decisions made by participants following, during, or as a result of attending any programme. Participants are solely responsible for any actions they take in relation to their personal financial circumstances.
To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Pollensa's total liability to any participant in connection with a programme shall not exceed the fees paid by that participant for the programme in question.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes Pollensa's liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Pollensa will not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any delay or failure to deliver a programme where that failure arises from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to public health directions, government orders, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. In such circumstances, Pollensa will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the programme and communicate with affected participants promptly.
